Volunteer with the Society

The East Allen Township Historical Society is a volunteer-driven organization. Every hour of your time goes directly toward preserving the landmarks, stories, and documents that define this community.

General meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at the East Allen Township Municipal Building, 5344 Nor-Bath Boulevard, Northampton, PA. All meetings are open to the public.

Grounds & Restoration

Hands-on work at the Dech House property and Horner's Cemetery — clearing, cleaning, and maintenance projects that make a visible difference.

Cemetery Stewardship

Help preserve Horner's Cemetery, Northampton County's oldest surviving burial ground. Tasks include grave rubbing, documentation, and grounds upkeep.

Research & Archives

Assist with historical research, document scanning, and building the Society's archive of maps, deeds, and photographs related to East Allen Township.

Events & Outreach

Help organize and run public tours, fundraising events, and community meetings. No experience necessary — just enthusiasm for local history.
